A sustainable vacation

Travelling sustainably means leaving places not just as we found them, but a little better; for nature, for people, and for the future generations.

The goal of sustainable tourism is to reduce negative impacts and maximize the positive benefits of tourism by ensuring the conservation of the natural environment, safeguarding cultural heritage, and promoting fair socio-economic development.

Respecting nature, every day

Sustainable tourism has become increasingly popular in recent years as people become more aware of the impact tourism can have on the environment and local communities.

One of the key features of sustainable tourism is environmental respect. This involves protecting natural resources, conserving biodiversity, reducing pollution, and adopting eco-friendly practices.

In our facilities, we strive to promote education and awareness on this issue among our guests. We have decided to encourage our guests to engage in outdoor activities with minimal impact on the environment we live in.

How? Through small measures, such as using public transportation to reach the starting points of excursions or providing our guests with waste bags to collect litter along the trails, which we later dispose of. Why limit ourselves to leaving the places we visit as we found them when we can leave them even better?

In our facilities, we offer sustainable alternatives for your transportation. For example, in our Alpine Hotel Ütia de Börz, we provide the Kronplatz Guest Pass free of charge upon request, allowing you to use public transportation in South Tyrol.

Often, sustainable choices can also be fun! Take skiing, for example: with simple ski skins, you can transform the skiing experience into an entirely new way of exploring the Dolomites, away from the crowded ski slopes.

It often takes very little to transform our vacation moments into activities that protect the environment we are visiting, even if only for a short period. Let's also learn to bring these small actions into our everyday lives because sustainability should not be an exceptional event but the norm.
