We have always looked to the sky
To find our way, let our imagination wander, search for answers or simply marvel. It is an ancient, instinctive gesture that remains part of who we are today.
Faced with a sky full of stars, clouds drifting across the mountains or rain running down the window, something still makes us pause and look up.
At Camping Sass Dlacia in San Cassiano, Alta Badia, the Stargazing Cabin was born from this very idea: to make the Dolomite sky part of the experience.
There is no need to wait for perfect skies. The mountains are always changing. And that is precisely what makes them so special.
By day, the Dolomites invite you to move, walk and explore.
Then evening falls and the pace changes. Sounds fade, daylight gives way to darkness and your gaze naturally drifts upwards.
On clear nights, the stars appear and the mountains become silhouettes on the horizon.
When it rains, the atmosphere shifts: raindrops run down the glass, the forest grows quieter and being sheltered inside becomes part of the experience.
The pleasure of slowing down
A night in the Stargazing Cabin is also an invitation to do less.
Pause. Listen. Observe.
Wait for a shooting star, follow the clouds as they drift by, listen to the rain or simply share the silence with someone by your side.

From nightfall to first light
Then morning arrives and the landscape changes once again.
After a clear night, the first light redraws the outlines of the mountains. After the rain, the forest appears more vivid and clouds may linger between the peaks.
